Regional school committee gives superintendent Morris strong evaluation

AMHERST — Regional committee unanimously approves superintendent evaluation. The Regional School Committee gave Superintendent Michael Morris strong marks across the board: five exemplary and three proficient ratings overall, with six high and two moderate ratings on his impact on student learning. Chair Allison McDonald reported that the evaluation reflected input from all committee members present.

In other action, the committee unanimously approved a statement in support of state Senator Comerford's Bill S.295, which would establish a commission to study special education financing and recommend reforms toward greater equity in the Commonwealth system.
