PELHAM SCHOOL COMMITTEE REORGANIZES, OPENS INTERIM PRINCIPAL SEARCH

AMHERST — Pelham School Committee elects Sarah Hall as chair during July reorganization. The committee re-elected Margaret Stancer as Vice Chair and Ron Mannino as Secretary, and continued Stancer and Ms. Kenney as regional school representatives, all unanimously.
Principal Leigh Whiting-Jones announced plans to relocate to New York at year's end, prompting the committee to open a search for an interim principal with applicants already expressing interest. The committee also unanimously approved revisions to the superintendent evaluation tool and discussed timing for stimulus grant applications, with third-quarter budget figures showing spending remains below projected levels.
