Amherst-Pelham Regional School Committee backs $6.7M roof projects. The panel unanimously approved a financial agreement with the Town of Amherst capping the town's contribution to the Middle School Auditorium Roof at up to $1.6 million, and awarded the Middle School Roof Replacement base bid to Silktown Roofing, LLC for $5,570,412 with a $1,162,221 alternate for the auditorium, per Jeff D'Amico's presentation of the bidding process. In a separate 7-2 vote, the committee postponed discussion of integrating Chestnut Street Academy into the regional high school until the next meeting to allow greater community engagement; members Sarah Marshall and Sarahbess Kenney opposed the delay.
