AMHERST — Regional Committee appoints new Treasurer while debating middle school changes. Superintendent Dr.
Xi presented a detailed plan for integrating 145 Chestnut Street Academy sixth-graders into Amherst Regional Middle School through shared staff and spaces, though committee members raised significant concerns about impact on special education services and seventh- and eighth-grade programming. The committee also accepted donations totaling 7,874 dollars for middle school track and high school programs.
