AMHERST — The Amherst, Pelham and Amherst-Pelham Regional School Committees approved the Unit B contract and a 2026-2028 strategic plan. Human resources director Jen Ortiz said the Unit B deal pays 3 percent in year one and 2.25 percent in years two and three, and extends the probationary period for new hires from six months to one year. All three committees approved it unanimously.

Superintendent Dr. Z said the district would not propose start-time changes while it studies transportation ahead of the Amethyst Brook opening, and a regional motion to freeze 2026-27 start times failed 3-5 with one abstention. Pelham adopted the strategic plan 4-1. Dr. Z said some regional bus routes run up to 50 minutes.
