Amherst Seeks Volunteers For Elementary School Art Committee

AMHERST — The town is seeking residents to join a new, time-limited committee that will help select public art for the new Elementary School, while also unveiling a redesigned online hub for meeting agendas and minutes.

TOWN HALL

The town is forming a Percent for Art Advisory Committee to help advance the selection of public art for the new Elementary School building. Residents interested in serving should submit a Community Activity Form; the town said applications will be reviewed beginning September 1.

Separately, the town launched a New Agenda and Minutes Center, a redesigned webpage that consolidates agendas, minutes and links to video recordings for all town meetings in one location, replacing the need to hunt across multiple pages.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

The Town Hall Art Gallery will hold a reception for artist Amy Dawn Kotel on Friday, August 21, marking the opening of her exhibit in the gallery space.
