Amherst superintendent search committee convenes with full slate. The 20-member committee held its organizational meeting to set parameters for recruiting a new regional school superintendent, with Inanna Balkin elected co-chair alongside appointed co-chair Sarah Marshall. The group reviewed and approved committee norms and the job posting while establishing the recruitment timeline.
Search consultant McPherson & Jacobson will collect applications through February 22 and present feedback from community listening sessions at the Regional School Committee meeting on February 27. The committee will recommend two to four finalists for public interviews to the Regional School Committee on April 9.
