School Committee approves superintendent search charge

AMHERST — School Committee approves superintendent search deadline. The Amherst-Pelham Regional School Committee approved the formal charge to the Superintendent Search Committee, directing it to forward two to four finalists by April 9, 2024. Sarah Marshall was appointed co-chair, with a second co-chair to be elected by committee members.
The committee also revised the high school track and field project, rescinding previous bond authorizations by a vote of 5-4 and unanimously approving a revised $1.5 million debt authorization that simplifies the initial scope to resurfacing the existing track and improving accessibility, with contingency for more extensive improvements if additional funding is secured by November 30, 2024.
