School Committee approves process for private school inquiry

Amherst School Committee votes unanimously on private school application process. The Committee voted unanimously to direct the Chair and Vice-Chair to draft formal procedures for reviewing private school establishment applications. The Committee also unanimously approved its June 18 minutes and accepted recent gifts to the district.
Superintendent Dr. Herman reported on new initiatives including a Mental Health and Behavioral Services Division and efforts to secure Title I funding for Crocker Farm.
