Regional School Committee seeks $756,160 for track project expansion

Amherst-Pelham Regional School Committee advances track project with funding request. The committee voted 6-2-1 to seek $756,160 from the town to pursue a north-south oriented redesign of the Amherst Regional High School track and fields project, supplementing $1.7 million previously appropriated. Members unanimously requested removal of restrictions on existing appropriations, extending design-selection flexibility.
Interim Superintendent Doug Slaughter and SLR consultant Kevin Fuselier presented three design options with a revised June 30 deadline. In separate action, the committee unanimously approved the 2024 Regional SOA Plan, with Bridget Hynes abstaining.
