REGIONAL SCHOOL COMMITTEE RESTRUCTURES SUPERINTENDENT EVALUATION OVERSIGHT

AMHERST — Regional School Committee restructures superintendent evaluation oversight. The Amherst Pelham Regional School Committee voted to expand its Superintendent Evaluation Subcommittee to include one representative each from the Amherst and Pelham school committees plus three RSC members, pending town committee approval (vote passed 7–1–0–1, one abstaining). Chair Sarahbess Kenney appointed Kenney, Deb Leonard, and Tim Shores as RSC representatives.
The Committee also unanimously discontinued its Investigative Reports Subcommittee and rejected a motion to add a third RSC member to the Joint Policy Subcommittee (1–6–1–1). The Amherst High School track and field construction project remains on schedule and within budget for spring 2026 opening.
