AMHERST — The Amherst Pelham Regional School Committee voted 8 to 1 to authorize the Superintendent and a regional representative to negotiate leases for fiscal 2027 and work with counsel on a Regional Agreement amendment addressing lease language and Amherst's current governmental structure, with Deb Leonard opposed. The Committee also tasked members with submitting five budget guidelines within one week to inform the Superintendent ahead of required four-towns budget forums under the Regional Agreement. Chair Sarahbess Kenney opened the nearly three-hour meeting with all nine members present or remotely connected.
The Committee approved prior minutes unanimously and adjourned at 9:45 p.m.
