Regional School Committee Authorizes Administrator Pay Framework

Amherst Pelham Regional School Committee authorizes $40,000 annual compensation cap for all administrators. The committee voted 8-0 (Vice Chair William Sherr absent) to authorize Superintendent Dr. Xi Herman to use the compensation framework when negotiating or revising contracts for principals and central office staff through June 30, 2028, effective July 1.
The framework includes negotiable provisions for relocation support, tuition reimbursements, enhanced leave, and wellness accommodations. Members approved the framework after removing a 5-day vacation buyback option through a 5-3 amendment vote.
