Regional School Committee approves FY21 budget amendment

Amherst-Pelham Regional School Committee unanimously approves FY21 budget amendment to transfer funds between cost centers. Director of Finance Doug Slaughter reported the fiscal year ended underspent due to conservative pandemic-era spending, with regional students remaining remote longer than originally anticipated. Committee member Allison McDonald moved to transfer funds between cost centers, with Committee member Kerry Spitzer seconding, passing unanimously.

High School Principal Talib Sadiq also presented the first public discussion of potential NEASC accreditation withdrawal, recommending the move to redirect resources toward other district initiatives.
