Regional Budget & Audit Subcommittee defers deficit-range decision to after Four Towns meeting.

Board of Education · Meeting of January 14, 2026

AMHERST — Regional Budget & Audit Subcommittee delays deficit-range decision pending Four Towns discussion. Chair Sarah Marshall and members Sarahbess Kenney and Superintendent Herman, with Finance Director Shannon Bernacchia, restructured the budget-planning timeline to let the full RSC articulate educational priorities before the central office designs cuts. The subcommittee will compile committee budget guidance themes from email input and present them for a vote before the Superintendent executes staffing reductions.

The January 10 Four Towns meeting will showcase updated revenue projections and a 3.5 percent Amherst assessment example.
