Pelham School Committee approves goals; eyes $140,000 budget gap.

AMHERST — Pelham School Committee unanimously approved its goals while confronting a $140,000 gap in the FY27 draft budget. Superintendent Dr. Xi Herman and Finance Director Shannon Bernacchia flagged a large health insurance increase and signaled a potential shift toward multi-age instruction.

The district will budget $500,000 from school-choice funds and expects actual charter enrollment numbers in January; a February budget hearing is scheduled to address the shortfall.
