Pelham School Committee approves FY26 budgets unanimously

AMHERST — Pelham School Committee unanimously adopts FY26 budgets as contract talks advance. Chair Margaret Stancer, Vice-Chair William Sherr, and Secretary Sarahbess Kenney approved operating and capital budgets by 3-0-0 votes while addressing paraprofessional staffing concerns; average class sizes will remain approximately 20 with no grade combining planned. The district's APEA Negotiations Team reported progress on the 2025-2028 teacher contract, reaching consensus on Unit B work-day language and work-related-injury provisions; final negotiation sessions are scheduled for March 5 and 6.
