Pelham Elementary maintains School Choice district status

AMHERST — Pelham School Committee maintains School Choice status for 2025-26. Chair Margaret Stancer, Vice Chair William Sherr, and Secretary Sarahbess Kenney unanimously approved the elementary school's continued participation in the School Choice program. Principal Micki Darling reported on ongoing school activities, including an annual Walk/Run/Stroll to School Day held May 7, a Spring Fair, and outdoor poetry events, with staff implementation of "Productive Struggle" pedagogy driving reported student growth across all subject areas.
The committee noted that a new 28-apartment development at 22 Amherst Road will begin occupancy in May, with potential implications for district enrollment.
