AMHERST — The Finance Committee reviewed fourth quarter FY25 finances and heard the Jones Library project opening was delayed to May due to steel construction phase delays. Finance Director Mangano presented the quarterly report, which showed strong investment income and cell tower revenue but included public safety cost overruns and a tax abatement from an Olympia Oaks fire. Library Director Sharry and Trustee Larson reported the library project is 93 percent budgeted, with contingencies covering change orders; the Library Trustees have contributed $5 million.
The committee discussed Budget Ad Hoc recommendations heading to the Council.
