Fiscal Subcommittee charts revenue and grant-seeking strategy

Amherst Fiscal Subcommittee unanimously elects Jennifer chair, maps revenue-seeking strategy. The Amherst Fiscal Sustainability Subcommittee voted unanimously to elect Jennifer as chair. The group outlined plans to pursue multiple revenue sources, including grants through partnerships with Amherst College and UMass Amherst, state and federal funding mechanisms, foundation funding, and a potential Proposition 2 1/2 override.

The subcommittee planned to request detailed district data on all revenue sources over the past three years and to identify central office staff to lead grant-writing and revenue-reporting efforts.
