AMHERST — Energy Committee voted to reduce its own membership from nine to seven. The motion, made by Vice Chair Don Allison and seconded by Andrew Leinung, passed 5-0-0. Chair Lori Goldner and the committee also approved a letter to the editor regarding UMass's Decarbonization Subcommittee Events by a unanimous vote, granting Goldner editorial discretion.
The committee discussed ongoing initiatives including a Landlord Heat Pump Initiative that will continue after UMass's October 21 forum, and flagged concerns that a proposed Energy Affordability Bill could cut Mass Save funding.
