Cable Television Committee authorizes chair to schedule public hearing by mid-May.

AMHERST — The Amherst Cable Television Advisory Committee voted 3-0 to authorize Chair Brianna Sunryd to schedule a public hearing on the cable license renewal by mid-May. Town Manager Paul Bockleman reviewed the ascertainment timeline and will notify community organizations to solicit participation in the renewal process; the committee also voted 3-0 to authorize member Fred Civian to draft survey questions to gauge whether Comcast is meeting contract requirements. The committee approved prior minutes and will meet again in late April to continue reviewing business plan samples and survey language.
