Cable Television Advisory Committee approves public hearing schedule and survey process.

Cable Television Advisory Committee · Meeting of April 30, 2026

AMHERST — The Cable Television Advisory Committee approved a two-hearing schedule and survey revision process. Chair Brianna Sunryd directed member Fred Civian to add introductory material and open-ended questions to the community survey draft, with broad publicity planned. The first public hearing is set for May 14 at 6:30 p.m. as a hybrid meeting; a second is tentatively scheduled for June 10.

Rachel Figurasmith, representing Amherst Media, reported the organization is developing a business plan that accounts for declining cable fee revenue, which currently funds approximately half its budget. The Committee approved future meeting dates of May 15, May 29, and June 12.
