Cable committee adds town-owned system question to survey

Amherst Cable Television Advisory Committee adds town-owned system to survey. The five-member committee revised an initial community survey to include a direct question about interest in a town-owned cable system and expanded other questions to cover additional consumer service topics. Members Fred Civian and Chair Brianna Sunryd were tasked with drafting the revised survey.
A second public hearing is scheduled for June 10 at 6:30 p.m. with presentations from Amherst Schools and Amherst Media representatives. Member Rachel Figurasmith, who is also of Amherst Media, will prepare a Business Plan document to inform the ascertainment process.
