Amherst Sees Wide Price Spread as Most August Deeds Omit Sale Price
Hampshire County Registry of Deeds recorded 16 Amherst property transactions between July 31 and Aug. 3, though only six disclosed a sale price, ranging from $60,000 to $773,000 with a median of $407,000. The month's top sale was a $773,000 condominium purchase at 32 North Prospect St, Lovell House Unit 4, by Robert and Claire Ann Hopley from Jay B. and Karen C. Silverstein. Seven of the 16 recorded deeds involved 208 Pine St's Sunwood Pines condominiums, and Amherst Town appeared as buyer in three separate, price-undisclosed acquisitions. With most entries lacking pricing data, the period's overall market tone cannot be characterized from the available records.
