Amherst records 14 property transfers in past month, but sale prices largely undisclosed
The Hampshire County Registry of Deeds recorded 14 property transfers in Amherst between Aug. 14 and Sept. 12, but only two disclosed a sale price: $100,000 for 622 E. Pleasant St. and $539,000 for 2 Wintergreen Circle, the period's high. The median of those two prices was $319,500, based on a sample too small to represent the broader market. Four transfers went to Amherst Town, five involved a bank as buyer or seller, and three recorded entries (a substantial-completion notice, a special-permit decision and a homestead declaration) do not appear to be property sales at all. With price data largely undisclosed, this month's filings offer limited insight into market tone.
