Amherst, Pelham School Committees Set Rare Joint Meeting Thursday

The Amherst, Pelham, and Amherst-Pelham Regional School Committees will hold a rare joint meeting Thursday, Aug. 27, alongside Union 26, as the district's overlapping governance bodies convene together ahead of the new school year. The Amherst School Committee follows with its own retreat Saturday, Aug. 29.

TOWN HALL

Amherst's Zoning Board of Appeals meets Thursday, Aug. 27, followed by the Finance Committee's Ad Hoc Budget Document Subcommittee on Friday and the Human Rights Commission on Sunday, Aug. 30. The Town Council holds a special work session Monday, Aug. 31, rounding out a busy week of public meetings as the town heads toward the Labor Day stretch.

SCHOOLS

The Amherst, Pelham, and Amherst-Pelham Regional School Committees, along with Union 26, meet jointly Thursday, an unusual combined session bringing the district's separate governing boards together in one room. The Amherst School Committee holds its annual retreat Saturday, Aug. 29.
