AMHERST — Regional committee appoints Yezierski as new Treasurer. The Amherst-Pelham Regional School Committee unanimously appointed Kristen Yezierski, Assistant Treasurer of Northampton, as Treasurer effective June 1, with predecessor Jill Berry remaining through August for transition amid an active middle school roof project. The Committee discussed integration of 145 Chestnut Street Academy sixth graders into Amherst Regional Middle School, a plan the district said the building can accommodate without displacing programs, though members raised concerns about impacts on middle school staff and climate.
The Committee unanimously accepted donations totaling $7,874, with funds designated for the middle school track program and the Bell-to-Bell Solution at Summit Academy.
